Deficit Reduction Act of 1984

This Act (P.L. 98-369, July 18, 1984) attempted to address increasing budget deficits and the erosion of the tax base due to the pervasive use of tax shelters. In particular, the Act addressed low or no interest loans and required registration of tax shelters.
